We haven't been to Ale Mary's in a while and we love all the updated features. I am a big fan of the new seating and their new plating! Our waiter was amazing. He was super energetic, kind and attentive. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. I have a gluten allergy and there were a ton of options.

Had a wonderful visit today at Ale Mary's. Food was wonderful as always and the service was great too. Can't remember his name, but it was his birthday and he was wearing a necklace that said "Hoss". Regardless of name, he was charming, attentive, and made our visit very enjoyable. Ask for "Hoss" (I guess ) the next time you are in.

Jon G was our server last Friday for a girls night out. Jon was the kindest and most accommodating for a picky 3some! Thank you for your patience and kindness

Ale marys has tons of great vegan options. The vegan chicken hani is amazing. We also enjoyed the trash can nachos (not vegan) that was on special. We started with that and probably didn't need to get anything else. Amazing award-winning burger and great beer selection. This place is definitely a bit pricier but the food makes it worth it. Our server was very sweet and made tons of great suggestions. The restaurant is well lit featuring high tops and bar area. I love the penny wall that you see when you walk in.

Christmas pop up each year is fun and festive. Some special menu items and cocktails. Very busy. It is best to have a reservation at this time of year. Igloos to rent outside. Christmas cocktails range around $17 . Very good service and people obviously having a good time.

I recently tried the beer cheese burger, which has some serious hype--it was voted one of the top 25 burgers in America by Men's Journal. I'll admit, it was a great burger. I even loved the aioli sauce. The beer cheese was rich and flavorful, the patty was juicy, and it definitely hit the spot. But... top 25? I don't know. To be fair, I haven't tried the official "top 25 burgers" to compare, but I've had a few that I think could give it a run for its money. My friend tried the macaroni burger, which looked absolutely indulgent--like something you order when you're ready to embrace a full-on food coma. Picture this: a burger patty sandwiched between two fried mac and cheese buns. It was basically a heart attack waiting to happen, but you've got to respect the creativity. We went during Christmas time, and the decorations were lovely--cozy, festive vibes all around. It made the meal feel a little extra special.

Open late in Royal Oak, and with the space fully decked out for the Christmas season, we swung by at 9pm on a Wednesday evening and it was poppin. While the menu on their website needs updating (they don't have shrimp tacos or chicken tacos any longer, but have added many other fun options), overall the food was decent and tasty. We got the Buffalo Cauliflower- solid, delicious, and a good portion size - to start. For our meals, we got the impossible burger, the vegan Korean style "beef" burger, and the impossible chorizo nachos. All were good, but nothing really stood out to us by any means. My partner got a beer, which he really enjoyed. They have an extensive beer menu and among them, a selection of Christmas brews. I got the margarita with cranberry puree on the cocktail menu, which wasn't too sweet yet boozy and balanced. I definitely recommend the buffalo cauliflower... However, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was consistently away for periods of time , usually wrapping silverware in the back. When I asked for the paper towels to be refilled in the men's restroom, multiple times to different staff, they were never refilled through the entirety of our visit of over an hour and a half. While we were able to get seated quickly upon arriving, I hear rumors of long wait times at other points in the week, so be ready to be patient. That said, it's still a good spot for a late evening meal in Royal Oak, so I'd definitely go back for another visit.
